What Is Akita?

Akita vs Shiba

The Akita Inu is a large breed of dog with a well-muscled body, strong legs, and large paws. They have broad chests with medium-sized paws and very short tails. They are built for endurance rather than speed, so they are best suited for the cold mountain climates where they originated from.

The Shiba Inu is a small breed of dog with thin fur, medium-sized paws, and a very short tail. Their thick coat makes them able to survive in the cold mountainous areas where they originated from.

Their fur sheds during the warmer months so their coat will not be thick when it comes time for winter months. The Shiba Inu is one of the most popular breeds in Japan today because it has been used as an unofficial police dog since it was first developed during the 1800s.
